WrongWayLizzie is moving into her new home. I’m bringing years of blogs, stories, adventures and assorted wrong turns along with her. Some of the sections below aren’t quite ready yet—but they will be soon. Thanks for wandering along while I rebuild the journey.
Sometimes the wrong way leads exactly where you need to go.
WrongWayLizzie began as a place for me to write honestly about wrong turns, hard lessons, unexpected adventures, faith, money, healing and the questions that have shaped my life.
What started as a blog became part spiritual journey, part travelogue, part social commentary and, eventually, part of the story behind The Morality of Money.
The original WrongWayLizzie now has a new home here at Renée E. Bryan. The journey isn’t disappearing. It’s simply continuing.

Why WrongWayLizzie?
I’ve gone down a few wrong ways and taken a few tough knocks. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that the detours can teach us as much as the roads we intended to travel.
WrongWayLizzie became the place where I could be transparent about those experiences—what I’ve been through, what I believe, what I’ve questioned, what I’ve learned and why.
Years later, I’m still learning. Still traveling. Still asking questions. And, occasionally, still going the wrong way.
Maybe the point was never to get every turn right. Maybe it was to learn something along the way.
WrongWayLizzie Became WriteWayLizzie
It turns out all those wrong ways gave me quite a lot to write about.
Somewhere along the journey, I started writing. The blogs gave me a place to wrestle with faith, healing, social justice, money, fear, freedom, travel—and what it means to build a life that actually feels rich.
Those ideas didn’t stay on the blog.
Years of writing, questioning, teaching and living eventually became my first published book, The Morality of Money —an exploration of fear, financial freedom, simple economic principles and the deeper truths that shape the way we think about money.
And there are more stories to tell. Some began right here on WrongWayLizzie. Others grew from experiences I wasn’t ready to write about yet.
Future titles will continue exploring faith, money, relationships, healing, justice, the church—and the strange and wonderful ways our lives change when we’re willing to question what we’ve been taught.
WriteWayLizzie is where I keep writing them.
